I love taking photos of flowers, but there are not many in bloom in January and February. I focused on last year’s blooms and the dried remains to create a few images.
It’s very therapeutic – almost like collecting shells at the beach. Looking for suitable specimen and then working out the background and light, possibly doing a little bit of “gardening” to single out the individual stem.
All of these were taken in January and February 2025 in Dunfermline, Pittencrieff Park and the Botanica Gardens in Edinburgh.
Lens: TT Artisan 100 mm F2.8 with Canon R3.
